Let's keep the images and cartoons. I put those in Wikipedia and have not yet gotten around to uploading them here, but intend to do so. :) They are primary source documents that enrichen and deepen the article. Richard Jensen 23:30, 31 August 2007 (CDT)

Article name

This article is infected with Curse of the Commas. It should probably be "History of the United States Democratic Party". --Tom Morris 06:13, 11 July 2008 (CDT)

the comma allows it to follows the style used in most history articles. U.S. is a disambig term, and is better than "United States" which can be mistaken to be part of the name. Richard Jensen 07:24, 11 July 2008 (CDT)

"oldest political party in the world"?

Depends what you mean. How organized does it have to be to count? How much reorganization is needed to count as a new party? The British Conservative and Liberal traditions could perhaps claim origins as far back as the 17th century. Peter Jackson 10:02, 8 April 2014 (UTC)
