I believe that I have repaired some of the deficiencies in the article of June 2010, but I am aware that others remain. Nothing has been said about foreign policy, defence, crime, or immigration, to mention a few. I am not at all sure about what should be said about any of those, so I will now leave it to others to add whatever is considered appropriate. | |||

Intro
I have changed the lead, which was a poor description. We do not need to reference for such basic concepts.
The remaining gaps
I believe that I have repaired some of the deficiencies in the article of June 2010, but I am aware that others remain. Nothing has been said about foreign policy, defence, crime, or immigration, to mention a few. I am not at all sure about what should be said about any of those, so I will now leave it to others to add whatever is considered appropriate.
