I have done quite a bit of work on hopefully improving this article in the past 24 hours. However, it still needs quite a bit more re-formatting and re-organization. There are also other items that need to be looked into:
(1) The equation that uses "crystallographic information" and molecular mass to calculate density needs to be explained and discussed. I must admit that I don't understand it all.
(2) The equation for determining density of a solid from the dry weight, wet weight and submersed weight also needs to be explained and discussed. I don't understand how the difference between wet weight and submersed weight, nor I understand how those two weights are determined.
(3) Items (1) and (2) should be relocated to the section entitled "Measurement of Density".
(4) The equation for the density with respect to temperature which uses the coefficient of cubic expansion is applicable to solids and to liquids, but not to gases ... and that should be so stated.
(5) The section about density changes in candy making really belongs in an article about candy making rather than in this articile.
