I did consider having this article as a disambiguation for Chugoku and China, as 中国 and Chuugoku can refer to either. However, as this is true only in Japanese, I didn't see the point. John Stephenson 00:05, 24 March 2008 (CDT)

Which prefectures?

There is a little controversy over whether Okayama prefecture is historically part of Chugoku; I decided it was and didn't bother to reflect this in the article. You may think differently! John Stephenson 00:05, 24 March 2008 (CDT)
