Stephen Butler Leacock (1869-1944) was a Canadian author and political economist. His best selling book, during his lifetime, was a textbook, Elements of Political Science. He found greater fame, though, as a humorist and popular writer. His best known work is the collection of short stories,Sunshine Sketches of a Little Town.
