The St. Louis Cardinals are a Major League Baseball team based in St. Louis, Missouri. The team was founded in 1882 as the St. Louis Brown Stockings in the American Association. In 1892, as the St. Louis Browns, they moved to the National League. [1] [2] [3]

The team has had a total of 11 championship-winning seasons since the beginning of major-league baseball's modern World Series in 1903, winning the World Series in the following years. [4]
