Sense About Science is a charity in the United Kingdom that aims "to promote evidence and scientific reasoning in public discussion".[1] It was formed in 2002 by Lord Taverne (who later went on to write The March of Unreason: Science, Democracy, and the New Fundamentalism).

Critics of the group charge that it is an industry lobbyist group representing producers of GM food and pharmaceutical companies. The environmentalist and journalist George Monbiot has alleged that it has links with the groups formed out of the Revolutionary Communist Party (Spiked Online, Living Marxism, the Institute for Ideas etc.)[2]
