Remu is a small Swedish island belonging to the Haparanda Archipelago in the Northern part of the Gulf of Bothnia. The island is situated 23 kilometer south of Haparanda near the border with Finland. The island has no connection with the main land and no buildings except for a few shelters. Remu lies between Sarven Riskilö and Sarven Kataja. When the local postglacial rebound will persist, Remu will end up on a peninsula that connects the islands of the archipelago with the main land.
