One & Other is a piece of performance art organised by Antony Gormley and currently taking place in Trafalgar Square, London. It can be viewed on the official website here.

2,400 members of the public, chosen randomly by computer from over 25,000 applicants, each occupy the square's vacant plinth for an hour at a time.

Among the most frequent activities chosen by the 'plinthers' are speaking on a mobile phone and blowing bubbles, often with automatic bubble generators. Many take photographs or do drawings, some propel paper planes; almost none sit and do nothing.
