Founded in 1997, the New Democrat Coalition (NDC or "New Dems") provides moderate, pro-growth Members of Congress with the opportunity to advance a policy agenda to modernize both the Democratic Party and the country.[1]
It presents itself as business-friendly. One group representing small business commended it for trying to deal with one of the major problems for small business: the cost of health care coverage for employees. [2]
