A necktie is an accessory often worn with a dress shirt and suit to emphasize a professional appearance. Neckties come in many shapes, sizes, and appearances and are made from a few different materials.

Knots

There are four common ways to tie a necktie: the Windsor Knot, the Half-Windsor, the Four-in-hand, and the Pratt Knot. The most common and easiest knot to tie is the Windsor knot, although this knot is not recommended for all types of shirt-collars and neckties because of the varying size, width, and shape of both.
