The Microsoft Corporation is a computer technology company founded in 1975 by Bill Gates, known largely for its work in the software industry. It is the creator of the Windows operating system, which has a dominant market share of perhaps 97%[1] of personal computers throughout the world. Microsoft is also known for its popular gaming console, the Xbox, the Zune mp3 player, as well as such software as Office.
