Manchester United Football Club (popularly abbreviated as MUFC or Man Utd) is an English football (soccer) club based in Manchester. It is one of the most popular clubs in the world, supported by millions of people; it is also amongst the richest clubs in the world, currently owned by American businessman Malcolm Glazer following his takeover in 2005.

The club, whose players are also known as The Red Devils, has had great success in domestic competitions and has also consistently done well in European tournaments, winning 16 domestic league titles (including nine since 1992) and 2 European titles, including the 1968 European Cup title, the first ever won by an English club.

United's stadium, Old Trafford (also known as The Theater of Dreams), situated on the outskirts of the city, has a capacity of more than 75,000 and is considered one of the best in Europe.

Sir Alex Ferguson is the present manager of the club, having served there since 1986. Gary Neville is the captain.
