MBDA is now a multinational European aerospace and military manufacturer. Originally Italian, it has three major owners: BAE Systems (37.5%), EADS (37.5%) and Finmeccanica (25%). I
It was formed in December 2001, from the merger of the main missile producers in France, Italy and Great Britain. German participation came with acquisition of EADS' German subsidiary, LFK, in March 2006.
Products include:
- Meteor (missile) air-to-air missile
- Storm Shadow/SCALP cruise missile
- Milan (missile) anti-tank missile
- Exocet and Otomat naval surface-to-surface missiles
