A curve formed by  plotting the cumulative distribution of the amount of income possessed by members of a community against the cumulative frequency distribution of the number of individuals that possess that amount.
A curve formed by  plotting, on a cumulative basis, the amount of income or wealth possessed by members of a community against the number of individuals that possess that amount - so that equality is denoted by a straight line and inequality by the degree of curvature.
