Liverpool F.C. is the most successful English football (soccer) club. Liverpool F.C. was established on the 15th, March 1892 by John Houlding and his friends at Anfield Road.

Liverpool's fiercest rivals are Everton F.C. and Manchester United.

The crest of the club has the LiverBird (which is the symbol of the city of Liverpool) with the words "You'll Never Walk Alone", which also serves as the anthem of Liverpool F.C. On both sides of the LiverBird are burning torches.

Current stadium of Liverpool F.C. is Anfield with capacity of 45,400 seats. However, to compete with the other English Premier League big clubs, such as Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea, Liverpool is currently planning to build a new and larger stadium with double the capacity of Anfield in Stanley Park.

Liverpool current manager is Rafael Benitez. He led Liverpool to its fifth European Cup champions in his first season as Liverpool manager in 2005.

In 2007, Liverpool broke its highest transfer fee record where they made a deal worth of around £26 million to get the service of Fernando Torres from Atletico Madrid. Torres proved his worth by scoring a total of 33 goals for Liverpool in his first 2007-2008 season; 24 of those were scored in English Premier League matches and become the most goals scored by foreigner in his English Premier League debut.
