Korechika Anami (1887-1945) was a general in the Imperial Japanese Army and the last War Minister. While he personally did not want Japan to surrender, he was obedient to Emperor Hirohito's decisions, thwarting some last minute plots to continue resistance. He committed seppuku rather than hear the actual surrender proclamation.

His commands included the109th Division, Eleventh Army, and Second Area Army, with his senior combat command during the Second Sino-Japanese War.
