Sir Keir Rodney Starmer (born 2nd September 1962) has been the Leader of the Opposition and Labour Party leader in the United Kingdom since April 2020. He has represented Holborn and St Pancras, London, in the UK Parliament since 2015, and was previously the Director of Public Prosecutions (for which he was knighted in 2014), i.e. the head of the Crown Prosecution Service for England and Wales, and a human rights lawyer.
