Enrols in the University of Berlin, reading law, history and philosophy. Becomes a Hegelian idealist[1]

Graduates with a doctorate in philosophy.

Marriage to Jenny von Westphalen.

Meets Friedrich Engels. Writes "the Paris Manuscripts"

1847

Writes The Poverty of Philosphy.

Publication of the Communist Manifesto (written jointly with Engels)

Moves to London.
