What email should I use

I joined Citizenium using my email account at @cox.com not @gmail.com and the when I go to the Goggle group all user page it won't let me in. Should I have used the gmail account as my Citizenium account? If so should I change the email account under the preferences page on the Citizenium page? Thanks for the help.
