Notes

A ball is tossed from 6 o'clock and is caught at 12 o'clock in the stationary frame. The carousel speed is increased so the catcher has to stand on the carousel at larger and larger angles from the position of catch, namely 1/4, 1/3, 1/2 and 3/4 of a turn. The corresponding paths of the ball as seen by the rotating observer are shown.
