Cluedo, known as Clue in the United States, is a well-known and popular board game. It was invented and first manufactured in the United Kingdom in the mid-20th Century, but is now owned and produced by Parker Brothers

The success of Clue led to franchises based on the Clue universe.

Object of the game

The basic premise is that there has been a murder in a country house, and all the guests are suspects. Players progress their playing tokens around the game board attempting to solve the mystery of who committed the murder, in which room of the house, using what weapon. At intervals players guess the solution: It was Colonel Mustard, in the library, with the dagger! This catch phrase has entered the English language lexicon.
