Category:License tags

These represent our growing collection of license tags for use with uploaded media content.

While making sure you first visit the template page to view its available operants, you may add any of these templates in the form {{licensetype}} after the Permission= portion of following template. For example, you would place Template:CC-by-sa-3.0, or whichever is the appropriate license, as {{CC-by-sa-3.0}} after where Permission= appears in the below.

|Description= Here is where you describe the image itself. Try to offer a detailed enough description so the user can understand the image as if it were standing alone.
|Source= The place you obtained the image, usually a website such as http://www.website.org
|Date= The date the photo was taken, if known.
|Author= Who took the photo and/or who holds or held the copyright
|Permission= Using one of the below templates in the form {{licensetype}}, add the license/copyright/permission data as reflected in the media's source data; or, if you are uploading an image you authored, add the preferably free-content license you choose.
