John's announcement that he won't give a casting vote on the EC raises the real possibility that it might fail to resolve a content dispute. It seems to me that the spirit of the Charter would give you the job of making a provisional decision in such a case, though the wording isn't clear. :*I concur with [http://forum.citizendium.org/index.php/topic,4220.msg45203.html#msg45203 Peter Schmitt] and do not see a role for the ME there at the moment.
:*The "right place" for asking such things would be via [[CZ:Managing Editor/Community input]].
:*I could have replied faster if you had provided a [http://forum.citizendium.org/index.php/topic,4220.msg45066.html#msg45066 link to your forum post].

Abstentions in council votes

Not sure whether this is the right place, but there's been no reponse to my post in the forum.

John's announcement that he won't give a casting vote on the EC raises the real possibility that it might fail to resolve a content dispute. It seems to me that the spirit of the Charter would give you the job of making a provisional decision in such a case, though the wording isn't clear. Peter Jackson 18:09, 26 January 2012 (UTC)
