** I disagree. Our policies are not complete - in fact we don't even have a charter yet. Once we have a EC and MC there will probably be quite a few changes that they implement. The software itself is also not complete. CZ specific modifications such as subpages that are currently implemented by templates will be moved to software extensions. There is no rush to get out of beta... look at Gmail who only came out of beta last year, despite having been majorly used for 5 years. --Chris Key 14:44, 3 May 2010 (UTC)

*** I disagree with your disagreement. 'Beta' kinda feels lazy. The 'endless beta' thing seems to suggest that there will be some point at which all is finished. It won't be. Just rip the beta tag off and refuse to keep up the pretense! –Tom Morris 15:28, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
* The key imagery feels dated. To me, Citizendium feels sort of like a book but also a compass - something used not only to find out about things but also for wayfaring, getting context, finding your way in new terrain. (That's what all the lemmas and subpages stuff is about, right?) –Tom Morris 11:07, 2 May 2010 (UTC)

Following on from the forum thread, please feel free to post logo ideas here.

Technical requirements

  • Ensure that you use a piece of software to design the logo that has the ability to export in a variety of open formats.
  • Designing it as a vector (using Illustrator or Inkscape) would be useful.
  • If you design it as a bitmap, use a transparent background and keep the original file with lots of separate layers rather than flattening the image.

Thematic suggestions

  • Removing the 'beta' tag would be a start. –Tom Morris 11:07, 2 May 2010 (UTC)
    • I disagree.
