This subgroup deals with the problems classically addressed by operations forums such as the [[North American Network Operators Forum]], which focus on the routing level and below, as well as key infrastructure functions such as the [[Domain Name System]].
This subgroup deals with the problems classically addressed by operations forums such as the [[North American Network Operators Group]] or [[RIPE]], which focus on the routing level and below, as well as key infrastructure functions such as the [[Domain Name System]].  While it will principally deal with networks using [[Internet Protocol]] over wide areas, it can include multiple user but non-public networks such as secure military systems, and routing-assisted lower-layer technologies such as [[Multi-Protocol Label Switching]] and dynamic optical networks.
