Authoring

Anyone is welcome to participate in improving our articles. To author for this workgroup, please add [[:Category:Computers Authors]] to the bottom of your user page so it appears on the Category:Computers Authors page. Likewise, Editors should have [[:Category:Computers Editors]] at the bottom of their user page so they'll appear on the Category:Computers Editors page.

Communication

Please visit our forum and subscribe to the workgroup email list. The Talk page for this article is also a place where policy issues have been discussed.

Adding or removing articles

To add an existing or new article to the this workgroup, edit the article and add [[Category:Computers Workgroup]] to the bottom of the page. The article should then appear in one of the article clusters shown in the table above, depending on whether or how it is checklisted on its Talk page.

Naming of articles

Please try to avoid using parentheses in an article name. For example, Darwin_(operating_system) is difficult for other authors to use because it must be typed as [[Darwin_%28operating_system%29]]. Please consider using something like Darwin operating system instead; it is a much easier link for typing by other authors. Names such as Java which could pertain to multiple topics will need a disambiguation page.

Recruiting people

We really need more active authors and editors in this workgroup. Here is a draft recruitment letter; please consider sending it to your colleagues.
