Black Jack (ブラック・ジャック Burakku Jakku) is a manga character, a facially-scarred underworld surgeon who performs implausibly brilliant operations to save the innocent. His creator, the Japanese artist Osamu Tezuka (手塚治虫 Tezuka Osamu) developed Black Jack in the 1970s.
