Biophysics is a branch of science concerned with the study of biological systems using experimental and theoretical methods borrowed or derived from the physical sciences. It covers all levels of biological organization, from the atomic and molecular level via cells, organs and tissues to individual organisms, species, ecosystems, the biosphere, and astrobiology.
