Almazbek Atambayev, leader of the Social Democratic Party of Kyrgyzstan, is deputy head of the provisional government of Kyrgyzstan in April 2010. He had been Acting Prime Minister in 2007 but left office.[1]

He was the main presidential candidate in 2009 but withdrew, claiming fraud; he had received 5% according to the official election agency, which gave over 90% to the incumbent. [2]

On 9 April 2010, he flew to Moscow to talk with unspecified Russian government officials. [3]
