Akpeteshie is a Ghanaian kind of schnapps. It is made of palm wine. Other names for this drink are: Apio, Ogogro and hot.

In the rural areas, it is common to make a blend of herbs and roots and pour Akpeteshie over it. After one day, the bitters are ready. People claim that this drink is not only tasty, but medicine against all kind of diseases.
