Mounted on helicopters and slow fixed-wing aircraft such as the C-130, the AN/ALQ-157 (V) is an electronic warfare system that actively jams air-to-air and surface-to-air missiles using infrared guidance. Its light source is frequency agile and operates throughout the plausible infrared guidance spectrum.

Made by BaE Systems, it has been deployed on the C-130, CH-46, CH-47 Chinook, CH-53, MH-53 PAVE LOW, P-3 Orion and SH-3 Sea King.
