I have decided to accept Hayford’s nomination to remain on the Editorial Council. Despite dire predictions from sources as diverse as RationalWiki and the Secretary of the EC himself, Citizendium is still here, and still it slowly grows. Though hopes at its inception were excessively high, CZ remains a potentially useful alternative to a Wikipedia monopoly that no-one wants.

As for me, do I need replacing? Perhaps. I don’t say much, but I do vote. You decide.

My original statement:

Copyediting is what I mostly do here. Indeed I volunteered to copyedit Hayford's statement—all of which I happen to agree with, particularly what he says about driving out pseudoscientists and in favour of Majority Rule. I was on Larry's Executive Committee, and I believe in Citizendium as an unvandalisable and thus (one hopes) reliable alternative to Wikipedia—though I'm still happy to be a Wikipedian, given that I like to read it, and that as I do so it is my English teacher's instinct to correct it. Here, I have written a cluster of articles about English spelling and pronunciation, which I would like to see preserved and am happy to see improved.
