Greetings! My name, as you may have guessed, is Michael Frain. I am a Wikipedia transplant - after one too many frustrations with WP, I stumbled upon Citizendium and upon perusal, found it to be much more informative and useful as a resource of information.

My experience goes something like this: I hold my high school degree from Benet Academy (Lisle, IL) and two bachelor's degrees from Clarke College (Dubuque, IA). My degrees are in music (piano performance) and philosophy. Currently I reside in the Chicago area, working as a professional concert pianist, music director (mainly for small ensembles and musical theatre) and part-time high school sports official. My sports of note are volleyball, baseball, and water polo. I also am familiar with soccer, football, and basketball, though I do not officiate those sports actively at this time.

While the bulk of my editing and authoring will be generally confined to my areas of expertise, I also enjoy a bit of research and development and therefore may occasionally branch out into topics with which I am only slightly less familiar - for example, while I do not hold a degree in it, I enjoy dabbling in theoretical physics. I am well read on the topic and understand many of the concepts, and as such may lend my (albeit limited) knowledge from time to time.

You can add yourself to the author workgroups of your choosing. They will show up just below. To do that, just go to CZ:Discipline Workgroups and follow the directions.
You can remove this template message (it will look like {{czcategories}} when you edit this page) whenever you no longer need it.
