Marlene Gerber Fried is Professor of Philosophy and director of the Civil Liberties and Public Policy Program at Hampshire College, a program for reproductive rights education and activism. She co-authored, Undivided Rights: Women of Color Organize for Reproductive Justice (South End Press, 2004) and the chapter on abortion in, Our Bodies Ourselves For the New Century, and edited, From Abortion to Reproductive Freedom: Transforming a Movement (South End Press, 1999). She is a long time advocate for reproductive rights, founding president of the National Network of Abortion Funds and the Abortion Rights Fund of Western Massachusetts. She is also on the board of the Women's Global Network for Reproductive Rights.
