I am a PhD student in applied mathematics, working on numerical simulation of fluid dynamics. My bachelor's degree was in mathematical physics. I am originally from New Zealand, but I currently live in the United States. I like to dance (salsa, ballroom, West Coast swing) and read fantasy and mystery novels. I also like writing metrical poetry, and reading poetry of all types. I am a trained singer and I play the piano.
