Images and copyright
This portal's policy requires images illustrating articles to be uploaded here.
People have created images which I would like to use in articles I'll be developing on important Indian rivers and connected personalities. Some of these are currently copyright asserted on a website I maintain.

- Unless the copyright holder chooses to join Citizendium and then releases their work to this project, you have to seek permission from them to use the material here, or ask them to release it under a licence that allows this. For copyrighted material, evidence of permission is placed on a subpage of the talk page, e.g. [[File talk:IMAGENAME.jpg/Permission]]. See also the third-party-uploading wizard.
