In physics, an observational set of coordinates tied to the motion of an observer, used to describe physical events and possibly including a measurement apparatus (see Frame of reference (physics)); in the social sciences, the set of assumptions that are part of the cognitive response to stimuli; in library and information science, as well as writing, the organizational structure of information.
