Three questions
- Are nominations made anonymously, at least at this stage?
- Must nominations be made with the prior consent of the nominee?
- Is there a limit to the number of nominations that a contributor may make? John Stephenson 03:01, 24 September 2010 (UTC)
- 1: yes
- 2: no, but they must accept it
- 3: no

Thanks! John Stephenson 03:10, 24 September 2010 (UTC)
- Sure thing! D. Matt Innis 03:15, 24 September 2010 (UTC)
Three more questions
- Will there be a periodically updated list of nominees? Or will the complete list be published at the end of the process only?
- If the latter: Will at least a progress report be available? Will be reported how often a Citizen is nominated?
- Will all nominations be published or only accepted nominations?
- Above unsigned comments by Peter Schmitt.
- Re 1, I think it would be desirable to give a running list of nominees, to save people wasting time nominating those already nominated. Peter Jackson 09:37, 24 September 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry, I forgot to sign ... as for a running list: I agree. I only hesitated to say so in order to keep the question neutral.
- Re 3 I think that it should be possible to delay acceptance until after the end of the nomination period. --Peter Schmitt 09:57, 24 September 2010 (UTC)
- A further thought: in the election of the drafting committee there was a running nomination list, including whether people had accepted. Peter Jackson 13:36, 24 September 2010 (UTC)
Another question
Is there any limit on the numbers of people a single citizen can nominate? The wording of the Charter seems to have two grammatically possible interpretations:
- a citizen can nominate any number of people for any number of roles
- a citizen can nominate only one person in total, but can nominate that person for any number of roles
The former interpretation seems more likely. Peter Jackson 15:13, 24 September 2010 (UTC)
- 1. is correct (see answer to 3. in the first section above). --Peter Schmitt 20:47, 24 September 2010 (UTC)
Managing editor
Can a description of this position be provided? - Robert Badgett 01:49, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
- Hi Robert, see Article 36 of the Charter. D. Matt Innis 02:01, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
Overprotective
If you are going to protect this page against editing you should at least fix all the redirects that lead here, mainly from current Citizens election statements. David Finn 06:53, 1 December 2011 (UTC)
