Oncology

Oncology covers a range of health science disciplines concerned with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of neoplasia (i.e., cancers). The main approaches are:

• drug-based, under various subspecialties of internal medicine or the subspecialty of medical oncology
• ionizing radiation, usually under radiology
• surgery.
