NLM has broadened the term to include homeopathic preparations, although it prefers to index them as homeopathy, just as it prefers phytotherapy from materials traditionally prepared from plants. Broader than phytotherapy is pharmacognosy, which draws from all natural sources, such as minerals as well as plants.
