Eduard is a postgraduate student in philosophy. His main interests lie in the political implications of poststructuralist theory and the possibility of a non-essentialist leftist politics. He also worked for an NGO in the field of HIV/Aids and does research work at the Aids & Society Research Unit at the University of Cape Town in South Africa. His current research is on Aids activism.
