Portuguese language. I made a box, based on the Spanish one, but I'd never done one before (on Wikipedia), and it needs improving. Wikipedia. Surprised to find a couple of punctation evils there (of all places...).

How long before I get tired of seeing this?

I was born in London in 1950, and have a degree in English from Peterhouse, Cambridge University. For many years I worked as a teacher of English, first near Mâcon, France, in a Lycée Agricole, then in Mondovì, Italy, then with many nationalities at a language school in a London suburb, and finally in various locations in Portugal, where my wife is a primary school teacher.

I can translate from those languages as well as from Latin and German. I heard about Citizendium when I looked up the history of Wikipedia. [1] There, as Rothorpe, I do mainly copyediting, though I have created a number of articles, including List of artworks known in English by a foreign title, which is virtually a solo effort.
