Andrew Scott is a science writer and lecturer, with a PhD in organic chemistry from Cambridge University, England, and a BSc in biochemistry from Edinburgh University, Scotland. He has written 11 books on science subjects, translated into 9 languages, and lectures in chemistry at Perth College of the UHI Millennium Institute, Scotland. He has also worked extensively as a consultant on many international education and training programmes funded by the European Commission. He is a Founding Board member of the International Center for First-year Undergraduate Chemistry Education (ICUC) based at the University of Illinois, USA.
