I hold an M.Ed. in Adult Learning and Global Change from the University of British Columbia, Canada; prior, I graduated highest-awarded in my class from Florida Atlantic University Honors College with concentrations in anthropology and political science. I have numerous years international experience, dispersed through Latin America, Micronesia, and Haiti, and it has marked all I do. My primary academic interest combines adult education and community-based development within the Global South. Currently, I am a remedial adult educator at a community college in the United States. habits of thought, reading, writing, and speaking which go beneath surface meaning, first impressions, dominant myths, official pronouncements, traditional cliches, received wisdom, and mere opinions, to understand the deep meaning, root causes, social context, ideology, and personal consequences of any action, event, object, process, organization, experience, text, subject matter, policy, mass media, or discourse.[1]
