Dr. Steven Ludtke is a professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Baylor College of Medicine (not affiliated with Baylor Univeristy), one of the top 10 medical schools in the US, located in Houston, TX. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Rice University ('96) and a B.S. in Physics from Caltech ('90). His current research focuses on transmission electron microscopy, scientific image processing and scientific databases. His group develops EMAN, an open source image processing suite used by a large fraction of the international electron microscopy community.
