Laurence J Best is a member of the New York Metro Advisory Services practice for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. He has over thirty years of experience in IT management and consulting for leading financial services, insurance, capital markets, and telecommunications firms. He is a recognized IT industry thought leader as author of the first book on Application Architecture, presentations at conferences, and numerous articles in IT publications. He has extensive experience in all areas of IT, including software development, IT infrastructure, and IT operations. His expertise encompasses IT strategy and planning, IT effectiveness/process improvement, IT risk management, and large-scale IT project management, PMO/program management, and project rescue. He is a certified Project Management Professional. Prior to PwC, he was a Sr. Management Consultant with Bloomberg LP and a Vice President with American Management Systems, Inc. His prior employers also include Citigroup and the National Security Agency. He holds a BS from the United States Military Academy at West Point and an MS in Business Administration (High Honors) from Boston University.
