I was born in 1945. I have an honours degree in Modern History from the University of Oxford, and a postgraduate diploma in Personnel Management from the University of Bradford. I worked as a Personnel Manager for thirty two years before taking early retirement and migrating to Australia for four years. Since 2005 I have lived in south east Ireland. I am a practicing member of the Church of Ireland.
