Published writer, poet, photographer Born in New York from a family of nine, Ms. Kelly is an honors graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, Mo, attended the University of Ghana in Legon, West Africa. She also completed field work as a student during a junior year in the Somali Republic. She is also a honors graduate from Columbia University, in New York, earning her masters in Communication, Computing, and Technology in Education Ms. Kelly has published in ESSENCE, CRAWDADDY, EAGLE & SWAN, UNIQUE NY, and poetry in BROWN UNIVERSITY'S BLACKS ON PAPER. She has won numerous awards, (Dean's List, Black Scholar Honor Woman of the Year, Phi Delta Kappa (at Columbia). She currently works as a Media Specialist for the New York City Board of Education. Her photography has won awards with the INTERNATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY SOCIETY, and she has self-published three books of her work, "New Orleans Roots," The Lost Boyz Photo Gallery", and "Year Abroad in Africa." Ms. Kelly lives in New York with her family.
