I am a chartered accountant living in England and specialising the the financial services industry. My area of expertese includes International Accounting Standards, the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, the use of derivative financial instruments and risk management.

My main interest is in politics, having twice stood for Manchester City Council for the Liberal Democrats (http://www.manchester.gov.uk/elections/types/local/2004.htm). I was also a member of the Liberal Democrats working group that drew up the party's International Law policy. (http://www.libdems.org.uk/media/documents/policies/International%20Law%20PP74%20v3.pdf).

My other interests include the Baha'i Faith, which I have presented an unpublished paper concerning (http://bahai-library.com/file.php5?file=hassall_fazel_100-years_europe&language=All#N_19_), the International Criminal Court and the post-invasion politics of Iraq. I have contributed extensively to the wikipedia articles on those two subjects (http://tools.wikimedia.de/~interiot/cgi-bin/Tool1/wannabe_kate?site=en.wikipedia.org&username=AndrewRT)
